About the Role

Data is not just information it’s intelligence, strategy, and the foundation of every business decision. We are seeking a visionary Chief Data Officer (CDO) to lead our enterprise-wide data strategy, governance, and innovation agenda.

As the senior-most data executive, you will architect the organization’s data ecosystem, ensuring that insights drive every strategic decision from operations and customer engagement to risk management and digital transformation. This is a pivotal role for a leader who sees beyond data infrastructure to the true potential of analytics, AI, and predictive intelligence in shaping organizational growth.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CDO will partner closely with leaders in technology, finance, marketing, and operations to define and execute the long-term data roadmap that powers smarter decisions, enhances scalability, and positions the organization as an innovation leader.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise data strategy aligned with corporate goals.
  • Oversee data governance frameworks, ensuring quality, compliance, and security across all systems.
  • Lead data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives to enable next-generation insights.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to embed data-driven decision-making across departments.
  • Manage enterprise data platforms and ensure scalable, cloud-based infrastructure for global operations.
  • Drive digital transformation by integrating AI, automation, and predictive analytics into business processes.
  • Create strategic partnerships with cloud and technology providers to enhance innovation capabilities.
  • Foster a data-centric culture across the organization, promoting literacy, adoption, and value creation.
  • Lead and mentor global data and analytics teams, setting vision, KPIs, and performance goals.

Qualifications: What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in data strategy, analytics, or information management, preferably within large-scale enterprises.
  • Proven expertise in AI/ML, data engineering, governance, and advanced analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in leading data transformations across multiple business units.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, ISO, SOC2, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern data stack (Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, etc.).
  • Excellent executive communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Strategic Support

  • Serve as the CEO’s key advisor on leveraging data to unlock business performance.
  • Partner with the CIO, CFO, and CMO to design data-driven financial and marketing strategies.
  • Support long-term planning and M&A strategy with data-backed insights and forecasting.
  • Represent the organization externally at conferences, summits, and industry events to position us as a leader in data innovation.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid model: flexible work structure with travel to global offices as required (approx. 20–25%).
