Executive Level: C-Suite
Compensation Package: $365,000 – $415,000 (Base + Executive Bonus + Long-Term Incentives)

About the Role

In today’s global enterprises, diversity, equity, and inclusion are not values statements; they are business imperatives that shape performance, innovation, risk management, and long-term competitiveness. We are seeking a Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) to lead and institutionalize a comprehensive, enterprise-wide diversity and inclusion strategy across a complex, multinational organization operating at scale.

This role is designed for a senior executive who understands how to move beyond programs and symbolism to systems, accountability, and measurable outcomes. The Chief Diversity Officer will define how diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are embedded into leadership expectations, talent systems, workforce policies, decision frameworks, and organizational culture.

As a member of the executive leadership team, the CDO will partner closely with the CEO, Board, CHRO, and business leaders to align DEI strategy with enterprise priorities such as digital transformation, workforce evolution, global expansion, and sustainable growth. You will ensure that inclusion is not siloed but integrated into how leaders hire, promote, reward, and lead at every level.

This is not an advisory role. It is a mandate to build diversity and inclusion as a durable enterprise capability, one that strengthens leadership pipelines, mitigates workforce risk, improves engagement, and reinforces the organization’s reputation as an employer and partner of choice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the enterprise diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging strategy aligned with corporate goals and workforce strategy.
  • Embed DEI principles into talent acquisition, development, performance management, succession planning, and leadership evaluation.

  • Partner with executive leadership to integrate inclusive leadership behaviors into management standards and operating models.
  • Oversee global employee resource groups (ERGs), inclusion councils, and engagement initiatives with clear outcomes and governance.
  • Lead pay equity, workforce equity, and policy assessments; drive remediation where gaps exist.
  • Advise leadership on sensitive workforce, cultural, and inclusion-related risks.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure alignment with regulatory, ethical, and ESG expectations.
  • Drive enterprise education and capability-building initiatives focused on inclusion, bias mitigation, and cultural effectiveness.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence C-suite leaders and Boards on high-impact, sensitive topics.
  • Experience aligning DEI strategy with business performance, risk management, and long-term growth.

  • Comfortable navigating complexity, ambiguity, and competing stakeholder expectations.
  • Exceptional communicator capable of engaging executives, employees, and external audiences.

Strategic Support

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and executive leadership on diversity, inclusion, and workforce risk.
  • Support long-term workforce planning, leadership pipeline development, and culture evolution.
  • Partner with Strategy, Transformation, and HR leaders on enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Enable alignment between DEI priorities, ESG commitments, and corporate reputation.
  • Support M&A integration, global expansion, and organizational change through inclusive practices.
