About the Role
In modern global enterprises, finance operations are no longer defined by reporting cycles or transactional efficiency alone. They are a strategic engine powering decision-making, enabling scale, protecting margin, and ensuring that growth is both disciplined and sustainable. We are seeking a Chief Finance Operations Officer (CFOO) to lead and modernize the enterprise finance operating model for a complex, high-growth organization operating at a global scale.
This role is designed for a senior executive who sits at the intersection of finance, operations, technology, and execution. The CFOO will own the end-to-end finance operations ecosystem, including financial planning and analysis, accounting operations, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, economic systems, controls, and process governance. Your mandate is to ensure finance runs with precision, speed, and insight while evolving to support automation, AI-driven forecasting, and real-time performance management.
Partnering closely with the CFO, CEO, COO, and business leaders, the CFOO will translate strategy into operational financial discipline. You will design scalable processes, modernize systems, and embed accountability across global teams, ensuring finance enables growth rather than constrains it.
This is not a traditional controllership role. It is a mandate to build finance operations as a competitive advantage, one that improves margin visibility, accelerates decisions, and supports enterprise transformation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise finance operations across accounting, FP&A operations, billing, collections, procurement finance, and financial systems.
- Design and execute a modern finance operating model aligned with enterprise growth and complexity.
- Own financial process excellence across record-to-report, order-to-cash, and procure-to-pay.
- Drive automation, AI adoption, and system modernization across finance workflows.
- Partner with the CFO to improve forecasting accuracy, enhance performance visibility, and realize value.
- Establish governance, controls, and compliance frameworks across global finance operations.
- Improve working capital efficiency, cash flow predictability, and margin transparency.
- Lead enterprise financial systems strategy, including ERP, planning, and analytics platforms.
- Build and lead high-performing global finance operations teams with strong succession depth.
- Present operational finance insights, risks, and performance metrics to executive leadership and board committees.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- 15+ years of senior leadership experience in finance operations, controllership, FP&A operations, or enterprise finance roles.
- Proven success leading large-scale finance operations within global enterprises or high-growth organizations.
- Deep understanding of finance process design, controls, and enterprise systems (ERP, planning, analytics).
- Strong experience modernizing finance through automation, shared services, and digital transformation.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with C-suite executives and business leaders.
- Strong financial acumen across accounting, forecasting, cash management, and performance management.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
