To support this expansion and strengthen our governance framework, we are seeking a Chief Legal Affairs Officer to lead the organisation’s global legal strategy and operations.
Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key advisor to the board of directors, the Chief Legal Affairs Officer will oversee all legal functions, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation management, commercial contracting, intellectual property, data privacy, and risk management. This executive will play a critical role in shaping the organisation’s strategic direction while ensuring legal integrity and compliance across all operations.

• Develop and lead the organisation’s global legal strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee all aspects of corporate governance, compliance, and legal risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to the CEO, executive leadership team, and board of directors.
• Lead legal support for strategic transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and global partnerships.
• Oversee drafting, negotiation, and management of complex commercial contracts and enterprise agreements.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive data privacy and cybersecurity legal frameworks.
• Manage global litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory investigations.
• Ensure compliance with international laws related to data protection, digital commerce, intellectual property, and competition law.
• Oversee intellectual property strategy, including patents, trademarks, licensing, and technology rights management.
• Partner with business leaders to support product development, innovation initiatives, and market expansion.
• Develop internal policies and training programs to promote legal awareness and compliance across the organisation.
• Manage relationships with external law firms, regulatory bodies, and legal advisors.
• Lead and develop a global legal team across multiple regions and specialties.
• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one major jurisdiction.
• 20+ years of progressive legal experience, including significant experience in executive leadership roles.
• Proven experience in global technology, SaaS, AI, or digital infrastructure environments.
• Strong expertise in corporate law, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and intellectual property.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex legal issues across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience supporting M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, and global expansion initiatives.
• Strong understanding of international regulatory frameworks related to data protection and digital services.
• Experience working closely with executive leadership and presenting to board-level stakeholders.

Total Compensation Package: $398,000 – $513,000
