The Business Strategy function acts as a strategic partner to senior leadership by identifying growth opportunities, assessing market dynamics, guiding organizational priorities, and supporting executive decision-making. We focus on building frameworks that strengthen operational effectiveness, accelerate transformation, and position the organization for sustainable long-range growth.

As the Director of Business Strategy, you will guide strategic planning cycles, provide market and competitive intelligence, evaluate financial and operational opportunities, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong analytical depth and the ability to translate complex insights into practical, high-impact recommendations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide strategic planning processes, including multi-year roadmaps, commercial assessments, and organizational priority setting.
  • Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitive intelligence to support strategy development.
  • Build financial models, scenario analyses, and performance dashboards that guide executive decision-making.
  • Identify new business opportunities, growth channels, partnerships, and capability gaps.
  • Collaborate with Product, Technology, Finance, Operations, and Marketing teams to align strategies and ensure execution readiness.
  • Prepare strategic recommendations, board-level presentations, and communication materials for leadership teams.
  • Support M&A assessments, partnership evaluations, and due diligence efforts where applicable.
  • Establish frameworks for portfolio prioritization, performance measurement, and investment planning.
  • Guide cross-functional teams during strategic initiatives, transformation programmes, and operational improvements.
  • Evaluate risks, opportunities, and long-range implications of strategic choices.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, Business Planning, or Strategic Operations.
  • Strong background in technology, SaaS, digital ecosystems, or enterprise operational environments.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with mastery of modelling, forecasting, and data-driven decision frameworks.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership through structured insights and compelling narratives.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced business/strategy degrees strongly preferred.
  • Experience partnering across business functions, including Finance, Product, Operations, and Technology.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and executive storytelling capabilities.

  • Support enterprise transformation initiatives by aligning strategy with operational execution.
  • Provide frameworks for evaluating new business ventures, strategic partnerships, and emerging opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation priorities.
  • Support organizational readiness for large-scale strategic changes.

Working Conditions

  • Fully remote role within the United States with occasional travel for strategy workshops, executive offsites, or planning sessions.
  • Collaboration with distributed executive teams, business units, and cross-functional leaders.
  • High-accountability environment requiring sound judgment, structured communication, and analytical rigour.

  • Base Salary: $326,000 – $395,000
