The Engineering organization is central to our innovation strategy, responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions. The Director of Engineering will lead multiple engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with strategic product objectives. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive technical vision, oversee large-scale software initiatives, and mentor engineering leaders in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and scale multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality, enterprise-grade software products.
  • Define and execute engineering strategy in alignment with product, technology, and business objectives.
  • Establish best practices in software development, architecture, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Drive operational excellence by implementing Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and UX teams to ensure engineering deliverables meet customer and market needs.
  • Monitor and report engineering performance metrics, including velocity, quality, uptime, and system reliability.
  • Mentor and develop engineering managers and technical leads to foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to maintain technical leadership and competitive advantage.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field; Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale engineering teams delivering complex software products.
  • Deep expertise in cloud-based architectures, SaaS platforms, microservices, and modern software development practices.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Experience in recruiting, mentoring, and developing engineering talent at scale.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Support key business initiatives, including product launches, cloud migration, and global expansion efforts.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time role with hybrid work flexibility based in San Jose, CA.
  • Fast-paced, high-impact environment requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on technical engagement.
  • Occasional domestic or international travel for engineering summits, client engagements, or site visits.
