The Director of Golf Operations will serve as a key executive leader, responsible for the strategic oversight, operational management, and growth of all golf-related functions. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic vision, ensuring that our golf operations deliver excellence in service, member engagement, and business performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of golf operations, including tee-time management, course maintenance coordination, tournament planning, and member services.
  • Lead and develop golf operations staff, including professionals, attendants, and support teams, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance member satisfaction, increase participation, and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Food & Beverage, and Membership teams to create integrated, high-value experiences for members and guests.
  • Manage operational budgets, expense control, and revenue forecasting for golf operations.
  • Establish and maintain operational standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing actionable solutions.
  • Plan and execute tournaments, corporate events, and specialty golf programs, ensuring seamless execution and member satisfaction.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in golf operations or club management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing luxury golf operations, private clubs, or resort-based golf programs.
  • Expertise in golf course operations, member engagement strategies, tournament planning, and operational budgeting.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends in golf and hospitality.
  • Experience with golf management software, tee-time booking systems, and analytics tools.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to align golf operations with broader organizational goals.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time executive role based onsite at the golf course/resort facility in Palm Beach, FL.
  • Fast-paced, high-visibility position requiring operational oversight, team leadership, and strategic decision-making.
  • Occasional travel to conferences, industry events, or partner facilities may be required.
  • Hands-on involvement in day-to-day golf operations while maintaining a strategic focus on long-term goals.
