About the Role
Modern enterprises operate on always-on digital ecosystems where reliability, scalability, and security are non-negotiable. We are seeking a Director of IT Operations to lead the technology operations backbone of a large, complex organization supporting thousands of users, mission-critical platforms, and global business operations.
This role goes far beyond infrastructure maintenance. The Director of IT Operations will own the operational integrity, resilience, and modernization of enterprise IT services spanning cloud platforms, on-prem and hybrid environments, network operations, service management, cybersecurity readiness, and business continuity.
You will lead the transition from traditional IT operations to a proactive, data-driven, automation-enabled operating model, integrating observability, AI-assisted incident management, and predictive capacity planning. Partnering closely with Engineering, Security, Product, Finance, and Executive Leadership, you will ensure technology operations actively enable growth, innovation, and customer experience rather than constrain them.
This is a high-impact leadership role for an operator who can scale systems, lead large teams, manage complexity, and deliver operational excellence at enterprise scale.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end IT Operations, including infrastructure, cloud services, networks, systems administration, service desk, and enterprise platforms.
- Own availability, performance, reliability, and security of all production systems and enterprise services.

- Establish and enforce SLAs, SLOs, incident response protocols, change management, and disaster recovery standards.
- Oversee cloud and hybrid infrastructure strategy, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
- Partner with Cybersecurity to ensure operational readiness, vulnerability management, and incident response coordination.
- Lead vendor strategy, managed service providers, licensing, and contract negotiations.
- Build scalable operating models that support global growth and evolving business demands.
- Develop and track KPIs related to uptime, response times, system health, cost efficiency, and service quality.
- Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing IT operations teams across regions and time zones.
