In this executive role, you’ll oversee a complex warehouse ecosystem spanning fulfillment, inventory control, process engineering, and workforce optimization. You’ll design scalable systems that balance cost, service, and sustainability, ensuring our network remains a global benchmark for speed, quality, and reliability.
The Director of Warehouse Operations partners closely with executive leadership to integrate advanced automation, AI-driven forecasting, and data analytics into everyday operations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize multi-site warehouse and distribution operations across the U.S. and international markets.
- Oversee daily activities, including inbound, outbound, inventory management, and safety compliance.
- Design and execute operational strategies to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve customer service levels.
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks to eliminate bottlenecks and enhance productivity.
- Drive automation adoption, robotics, conveyor optimization, and WMS integration for scalable, data-driven operations.
- Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Supply Chain Planning, and Customer Success to ensure end-to-end efficiency.
- Manage the P&L for warehouse operations, controlling costs while meeting delivery and quality KPIs.
- Develop, mentor, and retain warehouse leadership talent across shifts and regions.
Qualifications: What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in warehouse or distribution leadership within large-scale or Fortune 500 environments.
- Proven record leading multi-site facilities with 500+ team members and advanced automation systems.
- Strong knowledge of WMS, TMS, and ERP systems (SAP, Manhattan, Blue Yonder).
- Exceptional command of safety, quality, and compliance standards (OSHA, ISO, DOT).
- Demonstrated success in reducing operational costs while improving service and speed.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills from the warehouse floor to the boardroom.
Strategic Support
- Serve as a key operational advisor to the VP of Supply Chain and the executive leadership team.
- Contribute to long-range strategic plans for network expansion, sustainability, and technology integration.
- Partner with IT and Finance to leverage real-time analytics for decision-making and cost transparency.
- Support enterprise-wide initiatives on automation, ESG goals, and digital warehouse transformation.
Working Conditions
