About the Role

In modern enterprises, warehouse operations are no longer cost centers; they are critical engines of speed, reliability, and customer experience. We are seeking a Director of Warehouse Operations to lead large-scale distribution and fulfillment operations across a high-volume, technology-enabled warehouse network.

This role is designed for a senior operations leader who understands how to scale warehouse performance while maintaining safety, accuracy, and cost discipline. The Director will oversee multi-site warehouse operations, driving throughput, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service-level performance in a fast-moving environment.

You will partner closely with Supply Chain, Transportation, Technology, and Finance leaders to modernize warehouse operations, introduce automation, and implement data-driven performance management. Your mandate is to ensure warehouses operate as synchronized, high-performing nodes within an integrated supply chain.

This is not a site-manager role. It is a mandate to build warehouse operations as a scalable, enterprise-grade capability that supports growth, resilience, and customer satisfaction.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-site warehouse operations across regional and national distribution centers.
  • Define and execute warehouse operating strategy aligned with service, cost, and growth goals.
  • Drive productivity, throughput, and labor optimization initiatives.
  • Implement automation, WMS enhancements, and process standardization.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, order integrity, and on-time fulfillment performance.
  • Establish KPIs for safety, productivity, cost, quality, and service levels.
  • Partner with the Transportation and Supply Chain teams to optimize end-to-end flow.
  • Lead safety, compliance, and continuous-improvement programs.
  • Manage vendor relationships, third-party logistics providers, and capital investments.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing warehouse leadership teams.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 10–15+ years of warehouse or distribution leadership experience in large-scale environments.
  • Proven success leading multi-site warehouse operations.
  • Strong experience with WMS platforms, automation, and labor-management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and service levels.
  • Experience partnering with Supply Chain, Transportation, and Finance teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
