The Executive Vice President of Operations is a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for overseeing multi-dimensional operational functions, building scalable infrastructure, and driving transformation initiatives that support long-term business goals. This executive ensures operational performance, governance, and innovation remain aligned with enterprise strategy.
This role is ideal for a senior operations executive who can balance strategy and execution, lead significant organizational change, and build high-performing teams across distributed environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership oversight across all core operational domains, including supply chain, technology operations, customer operations, business services, and enterprise support functions.
- Develop and execute long-range operational strategies aligned with commercial goals, financial plans, and organizational priorities.
- Oversee operational performance metrics, including service quality, efficiency, reliability, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead enterprise transformation programs involving automation, digital workflows, ESG initiatives, and operational modernization.
- Strengthen operational governance frameworks, compliance systems, and risk management protocols.
- Align cross-functional teams (Technology, Finance, HR, Product, Customer Experience) to deliver integrated operational outcomes.
- Manage capacity planning, workforce optimization, and operating model design for scalable growth.
- Drive continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile Ops) to enhance operational throughput and reduce inefficiencies.
- Guide teams through major initiatives, including mergers, integrations, process redesigns, and market expansion projects.
- Present performance insights, strategic recommendations, and operational forecasts to executive leadership and the board.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- 15+ years of senior-level operations leadership experience within enterprise, technology, or large-scale operations environments.
- Track record of leading multi-site or global operations with measurable impact on cost, performance, and scalability.
- Strong experience in operational strategy, transformation leadership, and organizational design.
- Deep understanding of digital operations, automation, analytics, supply chain workflows, and customer operations.
- Experience managing large budgets and delivering financial improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, Engineering, Operations, or Strategy).
- Exceptional executive communication and ability to influence across all levels of leadership.
