Industry: U.S. Global Renewable Energy & Grid Modernization Platform
Enterprise Infrastructure Leadership | Reports to: Vice President of Engineering & Operations
Location: United States (Hybrid with National Site Oversight)

About the Organization

We are a U.S.-headquartered global renewable energy and grid modernization enterprise developing, operating, and optimizing utility-scale solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen infrastructure, and smart grid systems across North America and select international markets.

Our portfolio spans multi-gigawatt renewable assets, high-voltage transmission integration projects, distributed energy resource (DER) platforms, advanced SCADA monitoring networks, and AI-enabled predictive maintenance systems. As energy transition mandates accelerate and infrastructure resiliency becomes a national priority, disciplined infrastructure management is essential to ensuring uptime reliability, regulatory compliance, and capital efficiency.

Operating in capital-intensive, safety-critical environments, our infrastructure leadership teams oversee large-scale field operations, engineering coordination, vendor governance, asset lifecycle management, and risk mitigation across geographically dispersed sites.

We are seeking a technically rigorous and operationally disciplined Infrastructure Manager to lead performance governance, asset reliability, construction coordination, and operational resilience across complex renewable energy infrastructure environments.

This is not a facilities oversight role. This is a multi-site infrastructure performance and reliability mandate.

Job Function

The Infrastructure Manager will oversee physical and digital infrastructure performance across renewable generation assets, grid interconnection facilities, energy storage systems, and remote monitoring networks. This leader ensures operational continuity, safety compliance, lifecycle optimization, and capital project alignment.

The role integrates engineering coordination, vendor management, regulatory oversight, and predictive asset analytics to sustain infrastructure integrity at scale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational performance across solar farms, wind installations, battery storage systems, and grid interconnection facilities.
  • Implement infrastructure reliability programs, including predictive maintenance, lifecycle planning, and asset optimization frameworks.
  • Coordinate construction and commissioning activities for new infrastructure expansion projects.
  • Strengthen safety compliance aligned with OSHA, FERC, NERC, and regional regulatory standards.
  • Monitor SCADA systems and remote infrastructure performance dashboards to ensure uptime and performance consistency.
  • Develop KPI reporting tracking availability, downtime, energy yield variance, and asset performance ratios.
  • Manage vendor performance, including EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and maintenance service providers.
  • Lead capital planning initiatives tied to modernization, upgrades, and grid resiliency investments.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of infrastructure failures and implement corrective action frameworks.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and infrastructure resiliency strategies against extreme weather and grid volatility.
  • Align engineering teams with financial performance objectives to optimize cost-per-megawatt output.
  • Present infrastructure performance updates to executive operations leadership.

Strategic Support

  • Advise VP of Engineering & Operations on long-term asset scalability and modernization roadmaps.
  • Support acquisition due diligence related to infrastructure condition assessments.
  • Contribute to ESG and sustainability reporting tied to renewable asset performance.
  • Guide digital transformation initiatives, including AI-driven predictive analytics integration.
  • Strengthen enterprise risk mitigation strategies related to grid disruptions and supply volatility.
  • Align infrastructure operations with national clean energy policy initiatives.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive infrastructure or engineering operations leadership experience.
  • 5+ years within renewable energy, utilities, energy storage, or large-scale industrial infrastructure environments.
  • Strong expertise in infrastructure lifecycle management and asset reliability programs.
  • Experience managing EPC contractors and third-party service providers.
  • Demonstrated understanding of grid interconnection, SCADA systems, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site infrastructure portfolios.
  • Strong financial acumen related to capital budgeting and asset performance modeling.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Energy Systems, or related discipline required; advanced degree preferred.

Personal Capabilities and Qualifications

  • Systems-oriented and technically disciplined leader
  • Strong operational decision-maker under field-based conditions
  • Data-driven mindset with performance analytics capability
  • High accountability for uptime reliability and safety outcomes
  • Cross-functional collaborator across engineering, finance, and regulatory teams
  • Resilient under infrastructure risk and weather-related volatility
  • Governance-focused with structured execution discipline
  • Capable of leading geographically dispersed operational teams

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid role with oversight across multiple renewable energy sites nationwide
  • Frequent domestic travel to generation facilities and grid integration sites (30–40%)
  • High-accountability environment tied to uptime reliability, safety compliance, and asset performance KPIs
  • Collaboration across engineering, operations, and regulatory leadership teams
