Industry: Global Cloud Infrastructure | Enterprise Connectivity Platforms | Cyber-Resilient Network Operations
Location: Hybrid – U.S. (Multi-Region / Global Network Footprint)
Role Level: Senior Individual Contributor / Lead Engineer
Compensation Package: $175,000 – $235,000 (Base + Bonus + Long-Term Incentives)

About the Role

At enterprise scale, networks are no longer background infrastructure; they are mission-critical platforms that enable cloud adoption, digital transformation, cybersecurity resilience, and real-time business operations. We are seeking a Network Engineer to design, operate, and evolve a highly available, secure, and scalable global network supporting a complex, technology-driven organization.

This role is built for an engineer who understands that modern networking spans cloud, security, automation, and observability. You will work across hybrid and cloud-native environments, supporting large-scale data flows, application performance, and zero-trust security models. Your work will directly impact uptime, latency, resilience, and the ability of teams across the enterprise to move fast and operate securely.

Partnering with Cloud Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams, you will help modernize network architecture—moving from static, device-centric designs to software-defined, automated, and policy-driven networks. This includes improving visibility, reducing manual intervention, and ensuring the network scales seamlessly as the business grows.

This is not a ticket-driven support role. It is a mandate to build and operate enterprise-grade networks that support innovation, protect the business, and perform reliably at a global scale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of WAN, LAN, wireless, and cloud networking components.
  • Implement and support modern network architectures, including SD-WAN, zero-trust networking, and cloud networking.
  • Partner with Security teams to integrate firewalls, segmentation, and secure access controls into network design.
  • Monitor network health, performance, and capacity using observability and monitoring platforms.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across distributed systems and multiple regions.
  • Automate network provisioning, configuration, and validation using scripting and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Lead network change management, upgrades, and lifecycle planning with minimal business disruption.
  • Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, and Platform teams to support application performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices across the network engineering function.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in network engineering within large, complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in routing, switching, WAN technologies, and network security fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid connectivity.
  • Experience with SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and network segmentation.
  • Familiarity with automation tools, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Experience supporting highly available, security-sensitive, or regulated environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues under pressure.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, cloud networking certs) preferred.

Personal Capabilities and Qualifications

  • Systems thinker who understands how networks support applications and users end-to-end.
  • Calm, methodical problem-solver during incidents and outages.
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining a strong architectural perspective.
  • Strong collaborator who works effectively across infrastructure, security, and application teams.
  • Proactive mindset focused on prevention, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Clear communicator able to explain technical concepts to non-network stakeholders.

Strategic Support

  • Advise infrastructure and security leadership on network architecture, scalability, and risk.
  • Support cloud migration, data center modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with Security on zero-trust and cyber-resilience strategies.
  • Contribute to long-term network roadmaps, capacity planning, and investment decisions.
  • Support M&A integration and expansion of global network capabilities when applicable.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work environment with collaboration across global engineering teams.
  • On-call rotation for critical network incidents and escalations.
  • Periodic travel to data centers, offices, or key network sites as needed.
  • High-impact role with direct responsibility for enterprise connectivity and uptime.
