The Retail Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in driving store performance, customer engagement, and operational discipline across assigned locations. This position goes beyond daily store management; it is responsible for translating enterprise strategy into execution at the frontline level while building strong teams, optimizing processes, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

The Retail Manager will collaborate closely with regional leadership, merchandising, supply chain, and customer experience teams to ensure alignment with brand standards and growth objectives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead overall retail operations across assigned store locations, ensuring performance targets, service standards, and operational metrics are consistently achieved.
  • Drive sales growth through effective execution of merchandising strategies, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee workforce planning, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of store leadership and frontline teams.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience by reinforcing service standards, resolving escalated issues, and monitoring satisfaction metrics.
  • Manage operational compliance, including inventory control, loss prevention, safety standards, and policy adherence.
  • Analyze sales data, KPIs, and operational reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with merchandising and supply chain teams to ensure product availability, visual standards, and efficient replenishment.
  • Lead change initiatives related to new store processes, technology rollouts, and omnichannel integration.
  • Prepare and present performance updates, forecasts, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement across retail teams.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in retail operations, store management, or multi-unit leadership roles.
  • Proven success managing high-volume retail environments with strong sales and customer service outcomes.
  • Experience in omnichannel retail, including in-store, digital, and fulfillment integration.
  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs, inventory management, and labor optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing retail teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Comfortable working with performance data, reporting tools, and retail systems.
