About the Role

As the organization scales, Technical Operations becomes central to reliability, performance, security, and operational excellence across all customer-facing and internal systems.
The Senior Head of Technical Operations is an executive leadership role responsible for overseeing end-to-end technical operations, platform reliability, infrastructure services, service delivery, and operational resilience. This leader ensures systems scale efficiently, remain highly available, and support rapid innovation without compromising stability or security.
This role is ideal for a senior technology executive who blends deep technical expertise with operational rigor, strong leadership presence, and the ability to guide enterprise-wide modernization and reliability strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise technical operations across cloud infrastructure, platforms, service reliability, and production systems.
- Define and execute long-term technical operations strategy aligned with business growth and digital transformation goals.
- Oversee system availability, performance, incident response, and service continuity across global environments.
- Drive adoption of SRE, DevOps, automation, observability, and reliability engineering best practices.
- Partner with Engineering, Security, Product, and Architecture teams to ensure operational readiness and scalability.
- Establish governance frameworks for change management, incident management, and operational risk mitigation.
- Guide infrastructure modernization including cloud optimization, platform consolidation, and cost efficiency initiatives.
- Lead vendor strategy and third-party service partnerships supporting infrastructure and platform operations.
- Build, mentor, and lead senior technical operations leaders and globally distributed teams.
- Provide executive-level reporting on system health, operational risks, and performance metrics.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Technical Operations, Infrastructure Leadership, or Enterprise Technology roles.
- Proven success leading large-scale, highly available production environments.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, distributed systems, infrastructure automation, and reliability engineering.
- Experience implementing ITSM, SRE, DevOps, and incident management frameworks at scale.
- Strong financial and operational acumen, including budgeting and cost optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business preferred.
- Exceptional executive communication skills with experience engaging senior leadership and boards.
