The Senior Vice President of Retail serves as the executive responsible for shaping the end-to-end retail strategy, optimising store operations, elevating customer experience, and driving commercial performance. This leader will oversee retail operations, field leadership, merchandising execution, workforce planning, service excellence, and operational transformation across a large, complex network.
This position is ideal for a senior retail executive who excels in fast-paced environments, understands modern consumer behaviour, and brings a balanced focus on innovation, operational discipline, and commercial growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction and operational management of all retail locations across the network.
- Develop multi-year retail strategies that enhance customer experience, improve store performance, and support omnichannel integration.
- Oversee field leadership teams responsible for store operations, workforce management, service quality, and compliance.
- Drive retail P&L performance through cost optimisation, revenue growth, operational efficiency, and merchandising alignment.
- Implement operational governance frameworks, performance dashboards, and store-level KPIs.
- Partner with Digital, E-commerce, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to strengthen omnichannel readiness and customer engagement.
- Lead transformation programs, including retail modernisation, technology adoption, and customer experience innovation.
- Ensure operational consistency across regions, delivering unified service and brand standards.
- Support talent development, training, and leadership capability across retail teams.
- Monitor market trends, competitive insights, and customer feedback to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- 15+ years of leadership experience in Retail Operations, Retail Strategy, or Multi-Unit Management.
- Experience overseeing large retail networks or multi-region operations.
- Strong understanding of omnichannel retail, customer experience, and digital commerce integration.
- Proven track record in improving store performance, driving operational excellence, and scaling retail systems.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and full P&L responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees such as an MBA preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to influence senior leadership and field operations teams.
- Experience leading transformation programs, workforce strategies, and customer-focused initiatives.

- Support strategic investments, expansion planning, and capital allocation discussions.
- Serve as the executive leader representing Retail in board-level reviews and strategic planning sessions.
Working Conditions

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $330,000 – $388,000
- Annual executive performance bonus
