Role Overview

The Senior Vice President of Strategy and Planning is a critical executive leadership role responsible for shaping enterprise direction, translating strategic ambition into measurable plans, and ensuring organizational alignment across business units, regions, and functions. This leader will partner directly with the CEO, Board, and Executive Leadership Team to guide decision-making on growth, transformation, investment, and operational prioritization.
This role requires a rare combination of analytical depth, commercial judgment, executive presence, and organizational influence. You will not only define strategy you will ensure it is actionable, resourced, governed, and delivered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide strategic planning cycles, including long-range planning, annual operating plans, and multi-year roadmaps.
- Define and maintain the corporate strategy framework, ensuring alignment between vision, priorities, investments, and execution.
- Evaluate growth opportunities, including market expansion, product diversification, partnerships, and inorganic opportunities.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives with clear milestones, ownership, and success metrics.
- Partner with Finance to align strategy with capital allocation, budgeting, and performance management.
- Drive executive-level decision support through rigorous analysis, scenario modeling, and business case development.
- Establish governance mechanisms to track strategic execution, identify risks, and course-correct as needed.
- Lead strategic reviews with senior leadership and prepare materials for the Board and executive committees.
- Monitor competitive landscape, market trends, and macroeconomic factors to inform strategic adjustments.
- Build and lead high-performing strategy and planning teams across corporate and business-unit levels.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, consulting, or executive leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience operating at C-suite and Board levels within large, complex organizations.
- Strong background in technology, digital platforms, SaaS, or data-driven enterprises.
- Proven ability to translate high-level strategy into executable plans across diverse teams and geographies.
- Advanced financial acumen, including investment analysis, forecasting, and ROI modeling.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Finance, Operations, and Technology.

- Provide strategic oversight for major enterprise initiatives, restructurings, or transformation programs.
- Influence organizational design and capability development to support long-term growth objectives.
