About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and analytically driven Vice President of Credit to lead credit risk strategy and lending oversight within a global commercial banking and institutional lending organization serving mid-market enterprises, multinational corporations, and financial sponsors. This executive leadership role will oversee credit policy development, complex credit underwriting, portfolio risk governance, and strategic lending initiatives that support sustainable loan portfolio growth while maintaining disciplined risk management standards.

The Vice President of Credit will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization maintains a strong and resilient credit portfolio as it expands its commercial lending operations across multiple sectors, including infrastructure, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy. As corporate clients increasingly require sophisticated capital solutions to support business expansion, acquisitions, and strategic investments, this role will guide the evaluation and structuring of credit facilities that balance client needs with prudent risk management practices.

This position will oversee teams responsible for credit analysis, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and risk reporting across multiple lending products, including corporate loans, revolving credit facilities, syndicated loans, asset-based lending, and project finance structures. The Vice President will work closely with senior banking leaders, relationship managers, and risk management teams to evaluate complex credit transactions and ensure lending decisions align with the organization’s financial objectives and regulatory standards.

The role will also involve developing and refining credit risk frameworks that strengthen the organization’s ability to evaluate borrower creditworthiness, industry risk exposure, and macroeconomic trends affecting corporate borrowers. Through the implementation of advanced credit analytics and portfolio monitoring tools, the Vice President will help ensure the organization maintains strong credit quality and long-term financial stability.

In addition to overseeing lending decisions, the Vice President of Credit will collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives designed to expand the bank’s lending capabilities while maintaining disciplined portfolio diversification. This includes evaluating emerging industry sectors, assessing evolving credit market conditions, and guiding risk-adjusted capital allocation strategies.

The Vice President of Credit will also engage regularly with regulatory bodies, internal audit teams, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal risk governance policies. Maintaining transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance will be essential components of this leadership role.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in corporate credit analysis, commercial lending oversight, and credit portfolio management within large financial institutions, investment banks, or private credit platforms. This individual must possess deep financial analysis capabilities, strong risk management expertise, and the ability to guide complex credit decisions within dynamic financial markets.

Ultimately, the Vice President of Credit will help ensure the organization maintains a strong and diversified lending portfolio while supporting clients with strategic financing solutions that drive sustainable business growth.
