The Vice President of Data Science will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for defining the enterprise AI strategy, scaling high-performing data science teams, and embedding advanced analytics into every aspect of the business. This role requires a visionary leader who can bridge technical excellence with commercial impact, ensuring that data science initiatives directly contribute to revenue growth, operational efficiency, and market leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Define and lead the enterprise-wide data science and AI strategy aligned with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
- Oversee development and deployment of machine learning models, predictive analytics solutions, and AI-driven platforms.
- Drive innovation in advanced analytics, including deep learning, NLP, and real-time data processing capabilities.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business leaders to embed data science into core products and customer solutions.
- Establish scalable frameworks for data governance, model validation, and ethical AI practices.
- Lead, mentor, and scale global data science teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Communicate complex analytical insights to executive stakeholders, translating them into actionable business strategies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to maintain a competitive advantage in AI and analytics.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 12+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics, with 5+ years in executive leadership roles.
- Proven track record of delivering AI-driven products and scaling data science organizations in enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in machine learning frameworks, statistical modeling, and large-scale data processing systems.
- Experience in cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical initiatives with revenue and growth strategies.
- Experience managing global, cross-functional teams in complex organizational structures.
