I am an AI pioneer, CXO, and Board Director with over 40 years of applied AI leadership and corporate governance experience. In the 1990s, I founded Canada’s first commercial AI software company, International Neural Machines Inc. (INM). Since then, I have advised organizations across Cleantech, Fintech, Healthtech, and Defence industries.
My work sits at the intersection of AI governance, fiduciary duty, strategy, and organizational transformation. I help Boards and CEOs navigate the realities of Agentic AI – where the law hasn’t changed, but the standard of care required to meet fiduciary duties has risen dramatically.
I have served as Director and Board Chair for multiple companies and nonprofits, including the IEEE South‑Western Ontario Chapter and Future Possibilities for Kids. I also advise VC/CVC/PE funds and their portfolio companies on growth, revenue acceleration, margin enhancement, international expansion, turnarounds, and innovative exit strategies.
The adoption of Agentic AI reshapes the BOD’s mandate by expanding traditional oversight into new domains of technology governance, risk management, and organizational transformation. BODs must ensure AI delivers strategic value while safeguarding the enterprise from emerging risks, regulatory exposure, and ethical pitfalls.
Hence, I advise on AI risk oversight, regulatory readiness, ethical deployment, and turning AI into a strategic value engine rather than a compliance burden.
